Didim is a coastal district in Aydın province, south of the Büyük Menderes (Maeander) delta. The Temple of Apollo at ancient Didyma, one of the most important oracle sites of the ancient world, is the district's emblem, and the ancient city of Miletus nearby is another frequent stop for visitors. With the fine sand of Altınkum beach, a marina and a large year-round foreign resident community, Didim is popular both with holidaymakers and with long-stay visitors.
Didim spreads over several separate areas, including Altınkum, the town centre, Akbük and various holiday complexes. When booking, please enter the name of your hotel or complex, the area it is in and, if possible, the full address. In larger complexes, adding the block and apartment number to the notes helps your driver drop you at the right entrance.
