Turgutreis is a large coastal town at the western end of the Bodrum peninsula, named after the Ottoman admiral Turgut Reis. His statue on the waterfront, the marina and the sunsets behind the small islands offshore are among the town's landmarks. With a year-round population, a large weekly market and many holiday complexes and summer homes, it is one of the liveliest places on the peninsula. In summer, sea connections to the Greek islands also run from the harbour.
Much of the accommodation in Turgutreis is in holiday complexes and private summer homes, so please enter the complex name, block or villa number and neighbourhood when booking. If the complex has a security gate, your driver drops you at the entrance or the closest permitted point. If you are heading to the marina or the port, mention this in the notes.
